The holiday's are finally over! And you know what that means - it's time to get back into the swing of things. Time to recommit to living a happy and health life; a new year means new habits and working out is about to be one of them!
Maybe you haven't exercised in weeks (or, months). You might not feel prepared to start working out again. I get it! It's definitely going to take some time to get back into the groove. But, there's no better time to start than right now.
Here are some tips on how to get back into the work out spirit:
Have A Goal In Mind
It's always good to have a goal in mind! Before you start working out, decide what exactly you're aiming for. How much weight do you want to lose and where do you want to lose it? How much muscle do you want to gain and where do you want to gain it? Ask yourself these questions, first!
Plan Your Workouts
Figure out which days are going to be your workout days and stick to your schedule! If you want, you can take it a step further and designate specific workouts for certain days. For example, Thursday's can be for cardio and Sunday's can be for yoga.
Bring A Partner With You
And by partner, I mean someone who knows something about working out. Like, a trainer! You want to work out with someone who can give you the best advice. If you're unsure about what machines to use, what workouts to try, or what foods to eat, discuss your options with a health nut.
Try Group Exercises
Workout classes are the best! If you don't like using machines, then try group exercises. Classes like; Pilates, hot yoga, spin, and boot camp are great options for people who want to be active with a group.
Have An Awesome Playlist
Personally, I can't workout without an amazing playlist. And unless you're someone who can run, while watching t.v. at the gym, you need an amazing playlist, too. Gym time is about sweating, and you can't sweat if you're trying to watch HGTV. Music is the answer!
Wear Comfortable And Cute Outfits
Looking good and feeling good can go hand in hand. That's why workout clothes are so important. If your clothes look good, you'll feel good - which will hopefully make you exercise harder. Make sure you're clothes aren't too tight or too lose. You don't want anything to get in the way of your workout.
