Beyoncé really has been out here slaying since she was a kid, and now fans can own the video to prove it!
Ted Owen & Co, an auction house in London, is reportedly auctioning off 19 tapes filled with unedited footage of Queen Bey’s early days on the stage. According to the company, the footage was never released in full to the public, but, instead, kept in storage for the past 20 years!
The unreleased videos contain clips of Beyoncé rehearsing and performing as a kid with the “hip-hop rapping” Girls Tyme, as well as other performances by herself. There’s also a tape of the singer just being a regular pre-teen, like doing some shopping done with former Destiny’s Child bandmate LaTavia Roberson back in the day! The final package for sale has edited and mastered tapes of Bey’s first two music videos.
Take a look at a few of the clips below!
There were some mixed reactions to the news, with some thinking it’s a waste of money, while others think it’s a great idea to have. Others still felt that this footage should be back in Bey’s possession since these are her memories, after all!
If this is really going down, Beyoncé might (and should!) just buy the entire collection under her Parkwood Entertainment company. Then she could repackage and sell at a later date for her fans! But we’ll see what happens.
Members of the Beyhive and regular fans of the singer will reportedly get the chance to bid on the rare footage on March 13 at 7 p.m. GMT. You can check out more info about the auction here.
