The father of 22-year-old terrorist Salman Abedi has finally spoken out about his son who was behind the Manchester bombing.
Abedi was responsible for the deaths of 22 people and injured more than 100 when he detonated a nail bomb at an Ariana Grande concert. His father, however, still can't believe the news.
"As we were discussing news of similar attacks earlier, he was always against those attacks, saying there’s no religious justification for them," Salman's father told Bloomberg. "I don’t understand how he’d have become involved in an attack that led to the killing of children."
He even went as far to say his son doesn't have "extremist thoughts."
The sad part is Abedi's family warned security officials several times before, saying that he was "dangerous." But that didn't stop Abedi from making secret trips to Libya and Syria for terror training.
While Abedi died at the scene, Manchester police believe he didn't act alone.
"They don't waste bomb makers," said police. "The reason we have gone to critical is because he is still out there and the fear is that he will strike again before they get caught."
As of Wednesday, police have made three additional arrests in connection to the bombing. They have not provided any additional details regarding the investigation yet, but we're hoping they find everyone involved!
