It hasn't even been a day since Mariah Carey's rep confirmed she and billionaire James Packer called off their engagement, but the split has already gotten nasty!

TMZ is reporting that Carey has privately demanded $50 million from Packer for all the trouble their relationship has caused her.

Carey is allegedly claiming Parker made her move across the country to live with him, and that a fight they had in Greece forced her to cancel the South American leg of her tour.

Packer has also made other "various financial promises" to Carey, according to TMZ. His reps have not commented.

Money, who's spending it, and how it's being spent are issues at the center of the pair's split — and Carey's rumored "extravagant spending" throughout their relationship was the final nail in the coffin, Page Six reported.

"The relationship was always a sham. It was all about one thing . . . money, money," a source told Page Six.

Radio host Charlamagne Tha God, a close friend of Carey's, said the singer has "a very old-school approach to stardom."

It's "champagne-in-the-morning type stuff," he added, according to Page Six. "She (once) shared some with the Breakfast Club staff" — that's the name of his radio show — "at 10 o’clock in the morning, but she did not pour her own champagne — someone else poured it for her."

These are just some of the purchases Carey's allegedly made that might have sparked Packer's concern:

  • According to one of Packer's good friends, Carey spends $100,000 a month on exotic flowers, Woman's Day reported;
  • Carey drops $45,000 a year on dog spa treatments for her two pooches, Page Six wrote; and
  • The singer reportedly keeps her own yacht, which costs $340,000 per week plus maintenance expenses, according to Page Six.

Carey's rep has denied her spending habits were the cause of the engagement's demise, but said the pair is trying to fix their issues.

"They are trying to work it out," Carey's rep told Entertainment Tonight. "Right now, they’re not sure if they will stay together."
